This one’s a little special…

Hi there Reader,

This week’s newsletter is a little special — it’s the 100th edition I’ve sent!

That number isn’t really about me, though. It’s about this growing community of curious, generous readers who enjoy getting out and about, sharing ideas, and making the most of what Melbourne and Victoria have to offer. Over the past 100 newsletters, you’ve replied with tips, sent me your favourite cafés and exhibitions, forwarded emails to friends, and stopped me in my tracks with thoughtful messages. That’s what has shaped this newsletter far more than any calendar or press release ever could.

So I’d love to turn the spotlight back to you. If you feel like it, hit reply and tell me: what have you enjoyed most from Seniors in Melbourne so far? A walk you finally tried, a concert you booked, a day out with family, or maybe a small local discovery that became a new favourite.

Thank you for reading, for trusting our recommendations, and for being part of this shared noticeboard of ideas. Here’s to many more reasons to get out, stay curious, and enjoy the city together.

Enjoy your week,
Amy

P.S. Did you catch us on 3AW on Monday night? Paul and I were on air at 7.30 pm chatting with Sarah Maree Cameron about our new city walking tours — plenty of laughs, a few stories, and a lot of fun. If you heard us, thanks for tuning in, and if not, our tours are now live and ready to book.

Let's explore Melbourne and beyond

Quilts, Craft and the Meaning of Home

Thoughtful, nostalgic and beautifully presented, this is a gentle cultural outing with plenty to linger over.

On arrival we are greeted by our volunteer guide, Julie, who invites us into the drawing room for some light refreshments and a brief explanation of our visit.
In a masterful stroke of history-making, this particular tour “Home Comforts”, drew its inspiration from some small family portraits scattered throughout the home.

Christmas

Hi Reader, It’s hard to believe Christmas Eve is already here. For many of us, this is a time filled with family, faith, tradition, and a bit of last-minute organising.
