The Brandenburg is back — and we’re thrilled to share the 2026 season

Hi Reader,

If you joined us at an Australian Brandenburg Orchestra concert last year, you’ll know exactly why we’re smiling as we write this.

Thanks to our partnership, many of you were able to attend Brandenburg performances in 2025 — and the feedback that came back to us was overwhelmingly positive. Time and again, readers told us how much they loved the intimacy of the performances, the warmth of the musicians, and the way these concerts made familiar music feel fresh and alive.

So we’re delighted to share the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra 2026 season at Melbourne Recital Centre, and it’s a beautiful one. Throughout the year, we’ll be offering giveaways and an exclusive discount for our readers, making it even easier to enjoy the season.

Below, you’ll find the full 2026 program, with dates and booking details. If last year was anything to go by, these concerts won’t stay secret for long.

Warmly,
Amy

P.S. Today's newsletter is part of a content partnership with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. We only ever collaborate with partners we genuinely think you’ll love, and we’re proud to share experiences we’ve enjoyed ourselves.

Ticket & Booking Information

Exclusive offer: Receive our exclusive 20% discount on A & B reserve seats using code SENIORSMELB20

Book online or call 1300 782 856 (during business hours, 9 am – 5 pm, Mon–Fri)

A quick note on ticket prices:

When booking Brandenburg concerts, you’ll see Adult, Senior and Pensioner ticket options, and at first glance the prices can look a little confusing.

Seniors Card tickets are discounted on selected A & B Reserve seats only, which are premium seating areas. Because of that, the Seniors Card price can sometimes appear higher than Adult tickets in other sections. Once you select the Senior option and click through, you’ll be shown the discounted seats allocated to Senior pricing, which are cheaper than the regular Adult price for the same area.

If you’re simply looking for the lowest-priced ticket, Adult tickets in the Circle & Wings can start from $45, and you’re welcome to book these even if you hold a Seniors Card. Pensioner tickets offer the lowest concession pricing overall, where eligible.

Seniors Card pricing is also available on subscriptions — just select ‘Subscribe’ from the menu on the Brandenburg website and follow the prompts.

If in doubt, the Box Office team are happy to help, call 1300 782 856.

Hello Reader, Last week I found myself in a room full of the people shaping the future of tourism in Victoria. The occasion was the Victorian Tourism Industry Council’s annual Vision Summit — where operators, event organisers, government and industry leaders gather to talk about what’s ahead. One thing became very clear. Tourism isn’t just a “nice to have”. It’s a $46 billion industry in Victoria — bigger than mining and agriculture combined. I reflected on why I started Seniors in Melbourne...

Hello Reader, I’ve recently started following the journey of a Melbourne retiree named Michael Kerrisk — and I can’t stop thinking about it. At 63, Michael has set himself a remarkable challenge: travelling from Melbourne to London without getting on a single plane. No quick long-haul flight, no shortcuts. Instead, trains, buses, ships and a carefully mapped route that will take him through Southeast Asia, across China and into Central Asia — the “Stans” — before eventually reaching Europe....

Hello Reader, It's Terrie here. Last week we took an easy train ride to the Showgrounds for the Caravan and Camping Show — and what a sight! From enormous luxury motorhomes (sadly beyond our budget!) to compact little vans, there were hundreds to step inside and compare. I quickly realised how useful it is to inspect them in person. Some were easy to climb into, others not so much — wobbly steps and missing handrails are worth noting. The Showgrounds is large, so I was grateful for the...
