New Italian Marketplace, Travellers Aid & More Seniors Deals

Hi there Reader,

What better way to celebrate turning 75 than with a day full of indulgence and adventure?

Last week, we marked Chris’ big milestone with a feast at the grand opening of il Mercato Centrale—think incredible Italian food and wine that made us feel like we were in the heart of Italy! But the fun didn’t stop there. We took things to new heights (literally) with a heart-racing Edge Experience at Melbourne Skydeck, 88 floors up!

It was the perfect mix of delicious food and daring fun. We’ll be sharing more juicy details and insider tips on the blog soon—stay tuned, you won’t want to miss this one!

In the meantime, I’d love to hear about the most memorable ways you’ve celebrated a milestone or birthday. Drop me a line and share your stories!

Cheers,
Amy

“The Central Market”, sounds a little uninspiring, but that is what Google Translate tells me the name of Melbourne’s latest Italian food hotspot means.
Il Mercato Centrale, three floors of exquisite Italian cuisine created lovingly under the direction of nearly two dozen artisan chefs, is as far away from uninspiring as you can get.

Hello Reader, One year ago today, I sent out my very first newsletter for Seniors in Melbourne. Back then, there were just 25 subscribers (mostly friends and family!). Now, there are thousands of you who open these emails each week, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. What started as a way to encourage my parents, Chris and Terrie, to rediscover Melbourne has grown into something even more special. Not only has this community expanded, but so has my team of contributors—all retired (or...

It’s a thought-provoking listen created especially for those navigating aging or even just contemplating what lies ahead. Each episode dives into important topics like health, creativity, and social issues, often with insights from influential guests like Lex Marinos and Perry. What I love most is how it encourages us to embrace this stage of life with confidence and purpose. It’s...
