We’re still buzzing from attending the Victorian Tourism Awards last week! City Outing Ideas

Explore our list of itinerary inspiration for a fun day out exploring Melbourne

On our jaunt in the City today I’m trying, and failing, to remember what shops were in Flinders Lane fifty years ago. I’m certain there wasn’t the tempting smorgasbord of cuisines that are available today. Mmmmm, it’s around lunchtime and I’m suddenly feeling peckish.
I used to go on pub crawls in my student days and here I am, all these years later, walking along Flinders Lane on a different-themed “eatery crawl”, with my wife and daughter.

Since reaching out for feedback about Wendy Wu Tours, we’ve been thrilled to hear some really positive experiences from our community:

  • “Currently on Japan by rail with WW. Great tour and guide can’t do enough for us. Accommodation is very good and food is great. Will travel with them again.” – Ian
  • “We have done 3 tours and absolutely loved them. China, Vietnam and short trip in Cambodia. Very well organised with great guides and all meals included. Optional activities offered.” – Cheryle
  • “Did a Grand China. Very organised. Nicer hotels than I would use on my own as I am more of a budget traveller. Not too many optional tours. Most things included. Mainly 50-60s, though 2-3 young couples as well. Food was typical of the area you were in though they avoided very spicy food on my trip. Always enough food for everyone. Mostly Aussies on the trip.” – Maria

Now, there are thousands of you who open these emails each week, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. What started as a way to encourage my parents, Chris and Terrie, to rediscover Melbourne has grown into something even more special. Not only has this community expanded, but so has my team of contributors—all retired (or...

It’s a thought-provoking listen created especially for those navigating aging or even just contemplating what lies ahead. Each episode dives into important topics like health, creativity, and social issues, often with insights from influential guests like Lex Marinos and Perry. What I love most is how it encourages us to embrace this stage of life with confidence and purpose. It’s...
