Hello Reader, Terrie again here! Have you made any trips to the theatre recently? Going to see Sister Act at the Regent Theatre, thanks to my eldest daughter, was an absolute treat—especially since it was my first visit (only took me 72 years!). The excitement began as soon as we reached the grand entrance, with the crowd buzzing, promotional banners everywhere, and the beautiful theatre itself taking my breath away. Casey Donovan was fantastic, and although the songs were different from the movie, knowing that beforehand made the performance all the more enjoyable. It was hilarious, heartwarming, and a perfect day out. I also met a lovely senior lady in the foyer who was waiting for her daughter. She mentioned how they used to drive into the city and park in disabled spots nearby, but with recent changes to accessible parking spots in the city, they opted for the train this time. It’s a reminder that if mobility is a concern, services like Travellers Aid at Flinders St Station and Southern Cross Station can make outings like this easier. If you're planning a special outing, I can highly recommend Sister Act, however, it's ending this weekend! Have a look at our guide to Melbourne Musicals for 2025 here. And don't forget to reply here to let me know how you get on. Until next time,
